Brisbane is set to come alive at night, with South Bank becoming home to a spectacular new light, laser and special effects show in the Cultural Forecourt.
The nightly free show was designed by Tony Assness, a creative director of international acclaim, with the assistance of John Rayment, lighting designer and Glenn Turner, responsible for the laser and water design. The show is said to wow audiences with cascading water, an energetic soundtrack and live performances.
For those in the centre of it all, they can enjoy a meal in one of South Bank’s fantastic restaurants and look out over the river and out to the city skyline. Those watching from their own vantage point can pack up a picnic and tune into 95.3FM to set the background for the incredible show.
According to brisbanefestival.com.au, people of all ages will be hugely excited by the return of this spectacular Brisbane attraction. Santos GLNG City of Lights will be held from September 7 to September 27.
Tracks on the soundtrack include Rite of Spring by Stravinsky and Midnight City by M83 and a number of buildings and structures are involved.
